Mogadishu (MFASomalia) – The Acting Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Ali Mohamed Omar, received on Monday in his office at the Ministry in the capital, Mogadishu, the credentials of the Head of the IGAD Mission to the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Mohamud Abdi Ahmed, and congratulated him on the position, wishing him success in the tasks assigned to him.

Somalia, as an IGAD member, reaffirmed its dedication to working closely with the Intergovernmental Authority on Development to enhance regional cooperation and tackle shared obstacles, with a focus on improving conditions for the Somali populace and fostering development across the broader Horn of Africa region.
