Somalia’s Foreign Minister Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi successfully led the country’s delegation at the Extraordinary Summit on the Post-Malabo Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) held from January 9–11, 2025.
Accompanied by Permanent Secretary Hamza Haadow and Somalia’s Ambassador to Uganda, Ambassador Fardosa Mohamed Kanyare Ambassador Fiqi participated in key discussions on the Ten-Year CAADP Strategy and Action Plan (2026–2035) and the Kampala CAADP Declaration.
Somalia’s delegation reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to revitalizing agriculture, enhancing food security, and fostering regional cooperation. The summit concluded with the endorsement of key outcomes by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government, positioning Somalia as a strong voice in Africa’s agricultural transformation.
