Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – Mogadishu hosted a friendly football tournament on Thursday featuring teams from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and several resident diplomatic missions.
In the opening matches, the Embassy of Türkiye defeated the United Kingdom Embassy 5-0, while the MFA team secured an 8-3 victory over the Italian Embassy.
The MFA team will face the Embassy of Türkiye on Friday in the tournament’s final match, where the winning team will be crowned champion. The event encourages cultural exchange and fosters camaraderie and team spirit in an informal setting, promoting friendship. Government officials and resident ambassadors are expected to attend.
