A long civil servant and career diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Int’l Coopera on of the Federal Republic of Somalia. Previously served as the Director Department of Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he managed bilateral and mul lateral ac vi es to promote Somalis foreign policy in the con nent.
Through his career he has served in different capaci es at the Ministry including, coordinator of UN, advisor of Interna onal Coopera on Department, he also served office of the minister, deputy minister and office of the Permanent secretary. Most recently Mohamed Fa ir was the team leader in the Africa Union and African countries in solici ng bilateral support to Somali’s bid for the Non-Permanent Seat at the UN Security Council for the period 2025-2026.
Mohamed Fa ir has an MA in Global Diplomacy and sustainable development from Luiss School of Government in Rome. He holds a BA in Interna onal Rela ons from Okan University in Istanbul. Mohamed Fa ir has been part of the Somali nego a ng team of the accession and joining into the East African Community un l he was appointed as the Director General in charge of the EAC affairs by the prime minister of Somalia this year.
