The Federal Republic of Somalia expresses its profound appreciation for the regional and international efforts that led to the recent agreement reached in Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt, which includes key provisions aimed at a ceasefire, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, releasing prisoners and detainees, and resuming political negotiations under international sponsorship.

Somalia hopes that this agreement will serve as a genuine step towards achieving a just and comprehensive peace that ends the suffering of the Palestinian people and consolidates security and stability in the region.

Somalia reiterates its steadfast support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to establish an independent and sovereign state. This principled stance reflects Somalia’s firm commitment to international legitimacy and to the values of dignity, justice, and peaceful coexistence.

The Federal Republic of Somalia expresses its full support for all efforts and initiatives aimed at protecting human dignity, reinforcing respect for international law, and contributing effectively to advancing a just and comprehensive resolution of the Palestinian cause.
