ππ¬π₯ππ¦ππππ (MFA Somalia) – The Federal Republic of Somalia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan today signed a landmark agreement abolishing visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports, a major step that strengthens official mobility and accelerates diplomatic engagement between the two brotherly nations.
The agreement was witnessed by Pakistani President, H.E. President Asif Ali Zardari during his meeting with Somaliaβs Minister of Interior, H.E. Mr Ali Yousuf, and was signed by Mr Dawood Muhammad Baraech, Special Secretary at Pakistanβs Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, and Somaliaβs Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Hamza Adan Haadoow, together with the Somali Ambassador to Pakistan H.E SheikhNur Mohamed Hassan who was also present at the signing ceremony.
The Minister delivered a message from H.E. the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, reaffirming Somaliaβs commitment to deepening bilateral ties. Somalia expresses sincere appreciation to the Government and people of Pakistan for their warm hospitality and longstanding solidarity, and looks forward to expanding cooperation through continued high-level engagement in areas of shared priority.
