Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Ali , today received a senior delegation from the Republic of Turkey for high-level talks at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Mogadishu, as part of ongoing bilateral engagement aimed at strengthening relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Minister expressed Somaliaโ€™s appreciation for Turkeyโ€™s continued support for Somaliaโ€™s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and acknowledged Turkeyโ€™s consistent backing of Somalia on international platforms, including within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The meeting was attended by H.E. Ali Onaner, Director General for Africa, and H.E. Alper AktaลŸ, with both sides agreeing to continue consultations on priority areas of cooperation.
