Istanbul (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, participated in the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which convened Saturday in Istanbul under the theme:
“The Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a Changing World.”The session brings together OIC member states to address pressing issues facing the Islamic world, including the ongoing Israeli military campaign in Gaza and the escalation of tensions between Iran and Israel. Discussions also cover internal reforms within the organization and the election of a new Council presidency.
Somalia’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting joint Islamic action, advocating for just causes, and contributing to the OIC’s regional and international efforts in confronting current challenges.
