Doha (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, met on Sunday evening in Doha with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the brotherly Republic of Yemen, H.E. Mustapha Ahmed Mohamed Noman, on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group on Somalia ministerial session.
The Minister highlighted the strong fraternal relations between the two countries, reaffirming support for Yemen’s government and emphasizing the importance of unity, stability, and peace in Yemen
On his part, Deputy Minister Noman underscored the solid bilateral relations and expressed commitment to enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors. He also reiterated Yemen’s support for Somalia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and ongoing efforts toward security, development, and counterterrorism.
Both parties agreed on the necessity of close coordination to effectively address shared challenges threatening regional stability and security.
