Muscat, Oman (MFA Somalia) – H.E. Abdisalam Ali , Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, met with senior leadership of ASYAD Group in Muscat and was received by the CEO of ASYAD Group, Omar bin Mahmoud Al-Mahrazi, alongside senior representatives.

Discussions focused on cooperation in port development, integrated logistics, and investment aligned with Somalia’s economic priorities.

Both sides explored practical avenues to enhance port efficiency, strengthen trade connectivity, and unlock Somalia’s maritime potential, highlighting its strategic location linking the Red Sea, the Gulf, and East Africa. ASYAD Group expressed readiness to engage through technical cooperation and structured investment frameworks.The engagement reflects Somalia’s continued drive to position itself as a competitive regional maritime hub, translating strategic partnerships into tangible infrastructure development and economic growth in line with its Diplomacy for Development agenda.
