Addis Ababa (MFA Somalia) – On the sidelines of the African Union’s 49th Executive Council, H.E. Abdisalam Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral consultation with H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission.

The two officials discussed the AU’s strategic priorities, regional peace and security initiatives, recent developments on UNSOS and AUSOM, and Somalia’s role in advancing continental objectives. The Minister commended the Chairperson for his leadership in advancing the priorities of the African Union and reaffirmed Somalia’s full support for his efforts.
