The Federal Republic of Somalia strongly condemns the terrorist drone attack that targeted Egypt’s Port of Damietta on 29th July 2026, which caused fires aboard two vessels and endangered vital infrastructure.
Somalia stands firmly with the Arab Republic of Egypt in confronting this threat and is deeply concerned by attacks that threaten freedom of navigation and destabilize the entire region.
The Federal Republic of Somalia reaffirms its commitment to opposing terrorism and the pattern of regional escalation that threatens peace and prosperity.
