Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Ali, today received H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, for a courtesy meeting at the Ministry’s Headquarters.
The Secretary general briefed the Minister on the implementation of the AfCFTA mandate and its contribution to Africa Union agenda 2063. The Minister reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to the AfCFTA framework, having ratified the Agreement, and underscored the importance of maximizing its opportunities for Somalia’s trade, investment and economic integration within the continent.
