Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – H.E. Abdisalam Ali Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, today received Dr. Maryam Qasim Ahmed, Chairperson of the Independent National Human Rights Commission, and members of the Commission at the Ministry’s Headquarters to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
The talks covered Somalia’s engagement with international human rights mechanisms and support for the Commission’s international accreditation. The Minister reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to support in fulfilling its national mandate.
