President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud Recognises Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Second Best-Performing Ministry

Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia presented H.E. Abdisalam Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with an award recognising the Ministry as the second best-performing ministry in this year’s government-wide evaluation, held at the annual accountability exhibition assessing delivery against 2026 plans and targets. The President urged Ministers to build on this year’s results.
Minister Abdisalam dedicated the recognition to the Ministry’s staff and to Somalia’s embassies and missions abroad, describing it as a responsibility rather than a milestone, and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to advancing Somalia’s foreign policy and serving Somali citizens at home and abroad.
