Doha, Qatar, (MFA Somalia) –  On the sidelines of the Global Security Forum, State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, met ICRC Director-General Mr. Pierre Krähenbühl. The State Minister reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to international humanitarian law and the protection of civilians in armed conflict.
The two sides also discussed early preparedness for the expected impacts of El Niño in parts of Somalia. State Minister Omar thanked the ICRC for its longstanding partnership with the Somali people.
