Addis Ababa (MFA Somalia) – On the margins of the 39th African Union Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Ali, in his capacity as Coordinator of the A3, chaired the Sixth A3 High-Level Ministerial Meeting. The meeting brought together H.E. Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, H.E. Noëlla Ayeganagato Nakwipone, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, H.E. Amb. Bankole Adeoye, AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, and H.E. Amb. Mohamed Fathi Edrees, Permanent Observer of the African Union to the United Nations.
The Ministers reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing Africa’s priorities at the United Nations Security Council and emphasized the need to deepen coordination and coherence between the AU Peace and Security Council and the A3, strengthening Africa’s collective voice and strategic influence. They also underlined the importance of African unity around a clear strategic vision and principled engagement amid growing global uncertainty, while upholding and strengthening multilateralism.
