Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) –The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Hassan Mohamed Ali, opened a six-month French language course for 22 senior diplomats, delivered by the Institute of Diplomatic Studies under its Director, Mohamed Mahmud Guure.
French is a working language of the United Nations and the African Union. Strengthening the language skills of Somali diplomats expands the Ministry’s capacity in multilateral negotiations and its engagement with Francophone partners across Africa and Europe.
