Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Hassan Mohamed Ali, today received the copies of the Letters of Credence from H.E. László Máthé, Ambassador-designate of the European Union to the Federal Republic of Somalia, together with the Letter of Recall of his predecessor.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister expressed appreciation to the European Union for its steadfast support to Somalia and its continued commitment to Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
He further reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to work closely with Ambassador-designate Máthé to further strengthen and deepen the EU–Somalia partnership, particularly in the areas of peace and security, governance, trade, development, and other areas of mutual interest.
The Deputy Minister conveyed his best wishes to Ambassador-designate Máthé for a successful and productive tenure in Somalia.
