Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – The Director of the Institute of Diplomatic Studies, Mr. Mohamed Mohamud Gure, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Joachim Waern, on Thursday in his office at the Institute and discussed with him exploring partnerships and cooperation in diplomatic training and capacity building.The Director briefed the Ambassador on the Institute’s academic and training programs, including postgraduate diploma studies and language courses in English, Swahili, and Amharic. He emphasized the Institute’s role in equipping diplomats and government officials with essential skills for international engagement.He welcomed Sweden’s longstanding partnership in diplomatic education and expressed interest in expanding collaboration through knowledge exchange, scholarships, and joint training initiatives to further enhance capacity-building efforts.
