FM Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi Participates in the 11th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa

The Federal Republic of Somalia, represented by His Excellency FM Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated in the 11th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa: Enhancing Cooperation Between the AUPSC and the A3 – Oran Process.
As part of this pivotal gathering, H.E. FM Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ahmed Attaf, Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs. Their discussions centred on fostering stronger ties between Somalia and Algeria, enhancing coordination on pressing regional and international issues, and advancing Somalia’s preparation for its non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council, set to begin in January 2025.
This engagement underscores Somalia’s increasing prominence in global diplomacy and its unwavering commitment to promoting peace, security, and cooperation throughout Africa.
