Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) Dr. Mohamed Hussein Gaas, the Director of the Diaspora Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, officially assumed his duties from his predecessor, Mr. Ibrahim Gure Mohamed, following his appointment by Minister Ahmed Fiqi.

He is expected to enhance the department’s performance by strengthening engagement with the Somali diaspora, fostering collaboration, and implementing initiatives that support their contributions to national development.
