The Federal Republic of Somalia expresses its grave concern over the recent attacks on civilian infrastructure and facilities in the cities of Kassala and Port Sudan in the Republic of Sudan, as these actions represent a dangerous escalation that contravenes international principles and jeopardizes broader regional stability.

Somalia affirms its strong opposition to any attack on infrastructure, stresses the importance of preserving lives, services, and essential institutions for the Sudanese people, and urges the international and regional community to intensify diplomatic efforts to end the conflict through peaceful and inclusive dialogue.
