The Federal Republic of Somalia expresses deep concern regarding the recent attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and essential facilities in Kassala and Port Sudan in the Republic of Sudan, noting that these acts mark a dangerous escalation that threatens regional stability and contravenes international norms.

Somalia firmly condemns any assault on vital infrastructure and underscores the urgent need to safeguard civilian lives, maintain essential services, and preserve institutions critical to the Sudanese people while urging the international and regional community to strengthen diplomatic efforts in pursuit of a peaceful and inclusive resolution to the conflict.
