Cairo (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, arrived in Cairo on Sunday to participate in the preliminary ministerial meeting of Arab foreign ministers, held as part of the preparations for the upcoming emergency Arab summit hosted by the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, scheduled for March 4.

The summit focuses on the latest developments concerning the Palestinian issue, in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions and the escalating challenges facing the Palestinian people after 16 months of ongoing military escalation, which has resulted in significant human losses and widespread damage to vital infrastructure. This summit comes at a critical time, calling for intensified Arab efforts to strengthen the unity of the Arab position and support regional and international efforts aimed at ending the suffering of the Palestinian people.
