Mogadishu (MFASomalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, received on Wednesday, in his office at the ministry, in the capital Mogadishu, the Acting Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia and Head of the UN Assistance Mission for Somalia (UNSOM), Mr. James Swan, and discussed with him ways to strengthen the partnership and cooperation between Somalia and the United Nations.
Key topics included the ongoing work of the joint committee tasked with establishing a UN country office to bolster the organization’s presence and involvement in Somalia as well as advancing development and stability efforts and the latest political and security developments in the country.
