Mogadishu, August 06, 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, received on Wednesday, at his office in the Ministry, in the capital Mogadishu, Amb. El Hadji Ibrahima Boly Diene, the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC) for Somalia, and Head of the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, enhancing security coordination, supporting Somali security forces, and advancing stabilization efforts.

Minister Abdisalam expressed appreciation for the African Union’s continued contributions, particularly through AUSSOM, and urged the mission to intensify its efforts to maintain security and promote nationwide stability.

Ambassador Diene, for his part, thanked the minister for the warm welcome, reaffirming the African Union’s commitment to supporting Somalia, enhancing multilateral cooperation, and assisting ongoing security and counterterrorism initiatives.
