Somali FM Discusses with His Serbian Counterpart Ways to Deepen Bilateral Ties

Belgrade (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, met on Monday in Belgrade with his counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the friendly Republic of Serbia, H.E. Marko Djuric, and discussed with him ways to enhance bilateral relations and promote cooperation in key sectors.
The meeting touched on strengthening collaboration in areas including economy, agriculture, construction, and education, as well as advancing joint initiatives within international forums. Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to building on longstanding ties and pursuing shared interests.
The Somali Foreign Minister said, “We discussed bilateral relations and global issues, reaffirming the decades-long friendship between Somalia and Serbia.”
On his side, the Serbian Foreign Minister emphasized his country’s decades-long friendship with Somalia. “Serbia is proud of its traditionally good relations with Somalia and is firmly committed to further deepening cooperation across multiple fields,” Djuric said.
