Algiers, (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, met on Sunday in Algiers with the Prime Minister of the brotherly People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, H.E. Nadir Larbaoui, and discussed with him strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination on key Arab issues, notably the Palestinian cause.

The meeting took place at the Government Palace, during which the Somali Foreign Minister conveyed greetings from the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf attended in the discussions.
The Minister reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to deepening relations with Algeria in support of peace, security, and development across the Arab and African regions. He also provided an update on Somalia’s ongoing efforts to restore stability and security, as well as recent developments in the Horn of Africa.
