Istanbul (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, met on Tuesday in Istanbul with his Turkish counterpart, H.E. Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, to discuss the preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The two ministers also expressed their firm and unequivocal rejection of the illegal recognition of the northwestern region of the country, reaffirming their opposition to any attempts to divide or fragment Somalia under any name or pretext.
