Doha (MFA Somalia)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, arrived in Doha on Saturday evening to participate in a joint preparatory meeting of foreign ministers from the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) aimed at unifying positions and setting the agenda for the upcoming emergency Arab-Islamic summit on the Israeli airstrikes in Qatar.

The ministerial meeting, opening on Sunday, will draft a communiqué to be presented at the summit, with discussions focusing on political, and security implications of the escalation.

The emergency summit, scheduled for Monday, will gather leaders from Arab and Islamic nations to demonstrate solidarity with Qatar and address wider regional concerns arising from the attacks.
