Somali FM Takes Part in Strategic Talks on Development and Investment at TICAD
Tokyo (MFASomalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi Ahmed, participated in the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) Ministerial Meeting, which commenced today in Tokyo, focusing on enhancing the Japan-Africa Development Partnership and strengthening ties.
The meeting will continue on August 24 and 25, during which Minister Fiqi is scheduled to hold a sideline meeting with his Japanese counterpart. The discussions will focus on deepening bilateral relations and expanding areas of joint cooperation between Somalia and Japan.
TICAD is an international conference led by Japan that has served as a key platform for discussing development and investment in African countries since its inception in 1993, and it was originally held every five years before transitioning to a triennial format in 2016.
