Baghdad (MFA Somalia) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, held talks in Baghdad on Friday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, on the sidelines of the 34th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the Summit Level and the fifth session of the Arab Development Summit scheduled for May 17.

Minister Mohamed Marzouk extended congratulations to his Somali counterpart on his new role, expressing best wishes for his success and reaffirming Mauritania’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding ties between the two nations.The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, expanding shared interests across various sectors, and exploring new opportunities for partnership. The ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual concern.
