Aswan (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, participated on Sunday in the Fifth Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, which brings together African and global leaders and ministers to discuss key regional and international issues.Held under the theme “A Changing World and a Continent in Motion,” this year’s forum focuses on strengthening cooperation and resilience across Africa amid global shifts.

During one of the panel discussions, the Minister underscored the importance of strategic collaboration and shared progress among nations, particularly those bordering the Red Sea.“We need a comprehensive strategic partnership that unites the countries along the Red Sea,” he said. “The Red Sea is not only a maritime passage but also a significant opportunity to foster Arab-African cooperation, enabling our nations and peoples to build lasting resilience.”
