Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, addressed on Tuesday an event in Mogadishu, marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Somalia and China, established on December 14, 1960, highlighting the historic ties and reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The event was attended by the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, several government ministers, H.E. Wang Yu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Somalia, accredited ambassadors, and other regional and international organization representatives.
Somalia and China have shared over six decades of strong and friendly diplomatic relations, built on a long history of mutual respect, trust, and cooperation, reflecting the enduring partnership between the two nations.
