New York (MFA Somalia) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi Ahmed, met today in New York with H.E. Amb. Zénon Ngay Mukongo, Permanent Representative of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United Nations, and discussed with him the enhancement of bilateral relations and cooperation as well as political and security developments in Central Africa.
The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties and preserving the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both Somalia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, highlighting the importance of African-led solutions to regional challenges and ensuring the safety and security of Somali businessmen in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by facilitating smooth procedures to protect their lives and financial interests.
