Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Hamza Adan Haadoow, chaired a consultative meeting on Thursday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Mogadishu.
The discussions brought together senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Internal Security, Transport and Civil Aviation, Commerce and Industry, Finance, as well as representatives from the Somali Police Force and the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
The meeting focused on strengthening inter-ministerial coordination to improve government performance and uphold Somalia’s obligations under national laws and the Vienna Convention. Key issues included the regulation of private security companies, the movement of diplomats, security-related restrictions, timely resolution of operational challenges, and the issuance of diplomatic license plates to ensure immunity at security checkpoints.
Officials agreed to enhance collaboration to safeguard diplomatic missions and reinforce Somalia’s international standing as a host country.
