Somalia Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Agricultural Development at AU Summit

FM Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Hamza Haadow, was graciously welcomed by Somalia’s Ambassador to Uganda, Her Excellency Fardausa Kanyare, upon their arrival in Kampala, Uganda.

The Somali delegation is attending the African Union Extraordinary Summit on the Post-Malabo Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) Agenda. This high-level summit convenes African leaders to explore transformative strategies for advancing agricultural development, enhancing food security, and promoting sustainable economic growth across the continent.

Somalia’s active participation highlights its unwavering commitment to regional cooperation and its determination to contribute to Africa’s collective efforts in achieving food security and resilience.
