Madrid (MFA Somalia) – Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and International relations H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar met with Spain’s Secretary of State Diego Martínez Belío to advance cooperation in security, economic development, maritime affairs, youth, and multilateral coordination. Spain welcomed Somalia’s progress, while Somalia reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships aligned with its national priorities. The two officials signed an MoU on Political Consultations, establishing a framework for regular dialogue. The agreement marks a key step in deepening bilateral ties and reflects Somalia’s growing diplomatic engagement, including its role on the UN Security Council.
