Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in coordination with relevant authorities, ensured the repatriation of seven Somali nationals from Abuja, Nigeria, who had been in detention for several months following their arrest at the Nigeria-Benin border.

Upon their arrival at Aden Abdulle International Airport in Mogadishu, the seven Somali nationals were welcomed by Abdulkadir Mohamud Yusuf (Burgal), Director of the Africa Department, and Dr. Mohamed Hussein Gaas, Director of the Diaspora Affairs Department.

This gesture reflects the government’s dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens, particularly those facing challenges abroad
