Dar es Salaam (MFA Somalia)- H.E. Ilyas Ali Hassan, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the United Republic of Tanzania, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Anna Peter Makakala, Commissioner General of Immigration, at the Immigration Headquarters in Kurasini, Dar es Salaam.The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation on immigration matters to facilitate movement, support regional integration, and ensure the well-being of Somali citizens in Tanzania.

Ambassador Ilyas reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to supporting Tanzanian immigration authorities and emphasized the role of such cooperation in advancing trade, security, and bilateral ties.

Dr. Makakala welcomed the initiative and assured the Ambassador of Tanzania’s readiness to provide efficient and lawful immigration services to Somali nationals, while strengthening the long-standing relations between the two nations.

The meeting, attended by senior officials from both sides, marked a positive step toward deeper institutional collaboration and regional partnership.
