Changsha (MFA Somali) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, met on Wednesday, with his Tanzanian counterpart, Hon. Amb. Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators for the Implementation of Follow-Up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), currently underway in Changsha, Hunan Province, and discussed with him ways to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation across key sectors including regional integration, and political coordination.
The two ministers stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation within the East African Community (EAC), focusing on expanding cross-border trade, easing the flow of people and goods, and improving connectivity. They discussed regional peace and security, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to address common challenges and promote stability and development.
