Mogadishu (MFA Somalia) –  H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, today received a UNTMIS delegation led by Mr. Raisedon Zenenga, Officer-in-Charge of the Mission, accompanied by Mr. Vikram Parekh, Chief of the Political and Mediation Group. The meeting addressed the UNTMIS transition process and continued coordination between the Federal Government of Somalia and the United Nations.
The State Minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to a Somali-led and Somali-owned transition, and to ensuring that international support remains aligned with Somalia’s national priorities. Both sides agreed to sustain close coordination in support of Somalia’s stability and institutional development.
